Georgina who took part in the MFM test was able to put it together quickly and without having to look up any instructions. It's also a good travel cot, folding down flat and popping into a handy bag.
The Next2me Magic, which was shortlisted for the Best Cot, Crib or Moses Basket at the 2021 Mother&Baby Awards, is also somewhat larger, but is still relatively small and easy to put onto your bed. Georgina also found it easy to assemble however she was disappointed that the instructions could have been clearer regarding the zips.
Easy to clean
Look for large bedside crib that come with removable mattress covers that can be washed with the machine when you are looking at cribs for bed or travel cots. This will help keep it clean from leaky nappies, baby sick and spills. It's an excellent idea to choose a product that can be disassembled and partially dismantled, so that you can access all the corners and crevices for an extensive cleaning and sanitising session.
